Bauhaus Quartz 2140-4 – Sophisticated and distinctive

The new brand Bauhaus celebrates the integration of the Bauhaus building of the former VEB Uhrenwerke Ruhla and the watch assembly housed therein into the family-run watch company POINTtec. The building, in which the watch brands ZEPPELIN and IRON ANNIE have been produced for decades, was built in 1929 according to designs by the famous Jena architectural firm Schreiter & Schlag in the Bauhaus style. Bauhaus watches, made in the company’s own Bauhaus building!

The most minimalist series of the brand are the three-hand quartz watches, such as the model Ref. 2140-4, which still appears modern and fresh thanks to the colorful accents and shines through details like the domed, green sunburst dial, the slim lugs, and two-tone hands. What makes this designer piece a watch for every day is the particularly scratch-resistant K1 safety glass and the high-quality Swiss quartz movement Ronda 505.

The watch strap is an intricately handcrafted Italian leather band with a “Bauhaus” embossing and a length of 20 cm.
