The new mainspring produces 50% more torque, meeting the requirements for 36,000 vibrations and providing a 55-hour power reserve.  The accuracy of a mechanical watch depends greatly on the precision of its hundreds of individual parts. This is why all the components of each Grand Seiko watch are made by Seiko in-house and to the same high standards.
